What Shadow is
Shadow is a Windows desktop app that runs agents on your own PC.
What stays on your PC
Shadow has no cloud service, account, relay, or sync of its own. Your agents, chats, logs, and skills stay on your computer. Your model API keys are stored in the Windows keychain.
What leaves your PC
The prompts, file contents, and screenshots an agent uses are sent to the model provider you choose (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, or Google), using your own API key. That provider's privacy policy applies to that data. If you use Ollama, text stays on your machine.
Other connections
Shadow connects to the model providers you choose. It may also make other connections, such as update checks. For the full list, contact shadowwbot4@gmail.com.
This website
This site is hosted on Vercel, which may log basic visit data under its own policy. SHADOW is delivered and updated by the Microsoft Store, so Microsoft handles the download under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. This site does not use analytics.
